About Marbling
Marbling is a water-based printmaking technique. Inks are floated on the surface of a bath (a mixture of water and seaweed) to create designs. Once the design is complete, its transferred directly onto a second surface, in this case fabric. This is a one-off printmaking technique, meaning that each print is unique and one-of-a-kind. Ariel does all of the printing from her studio in Berlin.
